On July 1, 2021, the Illinois Secretary of State's office started a new program to randomly check the insurance status of it's drivers in order to reduce the number of uninsured drivers on the road. These electronic checks take place 2x/year.
Yes! If you've received a warning letter from the IL SOS, please share your reference number with us after signing up for your policy. Our team will happily submit your new policy information to the DMV for update. If you owe a $100 reinstatement fee to the IL Secretary of State's office, we'll let you know that, too.
