Warning period is a 10 to 16 day grace period following your last billing notice. The exact length of your Warning Period depends on what state you live in.
We send your billing notice via text message and email, as well as post it on your member account homepage. Your billing notice will always list the due date by which you must add money to your account to avoid entering warning period.
If you don’t add money to your account or take action to cancel your policy* within 24 hours of your billing notice, you will enter warning period.
Every day your insurance remains active in Warning Period, you'll owe us 1 day of coverage. You can exit Warning Period at any time. To do this, simply login to your Hugo account and repay any days Hugo paid on your behalf at cost - no extra fees or interest.
If you don’t repay your balance owed to Hugo by the end of warning period, your coverage will be cancelled.
