How do I turn my insurance ON and OFF?

Hugo currently serves the great states of CA, IL, OH, GA, FL, AL, and TN. Hugo offers three coverage options: Flex, Basic, and Full. Learn more about what each plan offers here.

If you have a Hugo Flex Plan (IL and CA only):

1. Log in to your Member Account: Tap the On / Off toggle button on your account dashboard. Turning your insurance ON is instant. When you turn your insurance OFF, your coverage will turn off at the end of your current 24 hour coverage period. We will always tell you the exact time their coverage period will end.

A day of Hugo is always good for 24 hours, so no matter when you ask us to turn your coverage off, we'll only turn it off once all 24 hours have passed. Your savings begin immediately after.

With the Hugo Flex, you can always turn OFF your coverage. To turn ON, you must have at least 1 day of coverage in your account.

If you have a Basic or Full Plan:

1. Log in to your Member Account: Tap My Policy in the bottom bar. After that, tap the On / Off toggle. Turning your insurance ON is instant. When you turn your insurance OFF, we’ll let you know exactly when your coverage will end.

Text message commands are not supported with Basic or Full coverage plans.

With the Hugo Basic or Full Plan, you can always turn OFF your coverage. To turn ON, you must have at least 1 day of coverage in your account.
