Do you notify the DMV about my policy?

Yes! Once you sign up with Hugo, our insurance partner will automatically send your new insurance information to the DMV.

Keep in mind that it can take 3-5 days for the DMV’s system to update and reflect your new coverage. If you'd need this to happen more quickly, we recommend you go in person to the DMV – just be sure to download your policy paperwork from your member account and bring it with you.
