We have some important changes to Hugo in Pennsylvania. Starting on August 26, 2024, members who request a policy cancellation will be asked to sign updated policy documents the next time they start coverage. Previously, we only requested a signature on updated documents if a policy was cancelled for more than five days. But as of August 26, 2024, we will collect updated signatures following a requested cancellation of any length.
Why are we making this change?
This change helps to ensure that the PA Department of Transportation remains correctly informed that our members are properly insured. This change will also better protect the registration status of our PA members, and reduce the risk of clerical errors at the State level.
What does this mean for you?
If you request a policy cancellation and then later restart coverage with Hugo, you will be asked to sign updated policy documents. If there are any changes to your rate, you will be asked to approve your new rate before signing your documents. We promise this process will be fast, transparent, and simple - just like when you signed up! Otherwise, your Hugo experience will remain the same.
