State agencies, lienholders, or even dealerships may sometimes request a formal letter on letterhead from your agent or carrier demonstrating evidence of coverage as of a specific date.
We can generate and send this letter on your behalf to a contact address you provide. To request a letter, login to your account and click on the Help icon.
Enter the date that you require proof of coverage. As long as your insurance was active on that date, we’ll generate your letter instantly. If your insurance was not active on the specified date, we will not be able to generate a letter for that date.
Next, enter the recipient name and email or fax number so we can send it to the right place. Please take care to enter the correct address.
After it’s sent, please allow 1-2 business days for your recipient to receive and process your letter.
If we can’t generate a letter but you believe your coverage was active, you can view and export your payment history from inside your Hugo account by logging in and tapping on the Payment tab, then Balance History. This will show every day that you made your daily premium payment. A daily premium payment means coverage was active.
